La Cuvee d'Elme 2011
Our top wine, this 2010 "Bordeaux style" blend called "La Cuvee d'Elme" is made entirely from fruit sourced from Newsom Vineyards in Plains, TX. We kept the wine for 2 years in new French Oak barrels to mature and then 6 months in bottles until we finally released it. The blend is composed from three of the traditional bordeaux grapes:
- Cabernet Sauvignon (42%)
- Merlot (40%)
- Malbec (8%)
We waited 2 years with this wine aging in french oak barrels and feel we were rewarded for being patient. This is a single vineyard release will all the grapes coming from the famous Newsom Vineyards in Plains, TX. We bottled it fully unfiltered, trying to be as true as possible to terroir (you wil find some sediments at the bottom of the bottle)
Deep ruby in color, big nose of black berries, dark cherries, graphite and cedar. Palate is concentrated, full of black fruits, spices with lots of tannins on the finish.
Cellar it for 3-6 years or put it in a decanter for 4 hours if you want to drink it now.
Only 75 cases made, these won't last long.
Cuvee des marrons 2010
La Cuvee des Marrons 2010 is our first Dessert wine release. Made in a traditional "vintage port style" from traditional port varietalw, the wine exhibits aromas of cherries, nuts and chocolate. The palate is full of fruit, nuts and chocolate with a nice balanced sweetness.
