2015 Cuvée d'Elme

Aged 23 months in French oak, this Bordeaux blend absolutely captivates. From the ripe black plum and earthy aromas to flavors of black/blueberry, pipe tobacco, allspice, and mocha, Cuvée d'Elme reminds us why we love Bordeaux blends. The palate is full and lush with velvety tannins.

For Caymus fans this is your wine. Better acidity to make more food friendly. Less mocha than average for Caymus. Velvety tannins. Ben proves you can successfully grow Bordeaux varietals in Texas.

We tasted this wine yesterday and I was quite impressed with its depth. Great fruit on first sip and then complex flavors of bit of graphite and florals on the finish.
